  1. Well before I was successful with capping, then I stopped for a few weeks and I load MMC again today and the record button is gone even when nothing is playing. Ideas?

I't happened me once after I've upgraded the catalyst drivers without reinstalling MMC. The only solution that I've found that time, was to uninstall and clean my computer of everything related to ATI, and make a clean instalattion of all drivers and MMC (versions that used to work well). If you are using WinXP you can also try to use System Restore tool and set back your computer to a date you think MMC worked fine. Hope this helps, sorry if my english isn't good enough, if you didn't underestand something due to my english, just let me know and I'll try to explain better. Happy new year.

ATI stuff is so integrated with NET and all, think it would be worth a try using the ATI removal tool (downloaded from their site), and reinstalling everything as suggested earlier. Nothing to lose really but a few minutes of your time.

Otherwise don't know if catalyst works with NET 2 yet or not if you've updated to that...

You wouldn't have happened to install a theater pro 550 lately would of you? I did that and the record feature is gone in ati. That's because the theater pro has hardware capture and mmc does not support that.

    Just thought I'd ask?
