hi i want to add about 10 shows to a dvd that will have menu selection of the episodes and each episode has chapter segments of 5 minutes each which is the easiest tool of doing this?

i'd say to use dvd-lab pro. Just individually import the video clips at which it will demultiplex it for you. Then create seperate movies for each ten shows. on the menu have links to each different movie. So for example if you make some text saying Play show 1, right click on it and link to movie 1 and etc... i think that would be the easiest. And this is assuming that you already converted to mpeg 2...

TMPGenc DVD Author can easily do this, though it's not free. I've not used any of the free ones, so don't know if they can do it or how easy it is.
In TDA you would add each show into it's own track, and set your desired chapter points. Each track will appear as a seperate entry in the menu, and selecting any episode will take you to each chapter with a "Play" (from the beginning) button.
