  1. Hi, I am currently trying to author and burn a movie that i made using the program DVD-Lab pro. I initially started with the avi and converted to mpeg 2 using main concept mpeg encoder. The vide was 704 X 480 and 29.97 as the frame rate. I then demultiplexed the mpeg using TMPEGnc to .m2v and .mp2. I then used the program DVD-Lab pro to create the menu and to author the dvd. However, while authoring the dvd, DVD-lab pro states that it is done but the progress bar states that it isn't. I then used Nero Burning rom to burn the DVD movie. SOme messages came up in nero stating that the dvd was burned with some errors. Even so, I placed the dvd into my dvd player and it states that it cannot read it. Then my computer started freezing up and actually while writing this message, my computer froze. When i tried to re author the dvd, it stated something like windows delayed writing. Could not locat VSO_1 or something like that. I had the picture copied but once again, my computer froze so i lost it before i could save that. Does anyone know why this is happeneing. For some reason it states that it cannot find a file in my video_ts folder. If anyone can help me with this i would greatly appreciate this. I have gotten so many problems trying to burn this dvd and even in the final stages. ONce again thanks for the help!

'Delayed Write Failed' is usually an error from an external drive. It happens when the read/write is interrupted by a software program or the cable comes loose. A few of these in a row and your drive and files will get corrupted permanently. Happens more commonly with USB drives as another program takes control of the bus during transfers.

Some antispyware programs can cause this by scanning a file while it is being written. Something is interfering with the data transfer. You might want to shut down unneeded programs or at least find out the cause before it creates more problems. If this an internal drive with those errors, that's unusual.

Some process on the computer is causing an interupt to occur.
What process are running at the time you are authoring?
The computer should be doing nothing else during video operations.
