Picked up a usb digital pc camera at the PC fair. It is a small one that will clip on to a note book, has 6 little lights down the side (3 on each side) and a built in mike. Now the camera works OK and takes good quality video & still shots. My problem is the mic. I plug it in and get all sorts of interference coming out of the speakers. I can plug in other mic's and all is fine. i have checked all settings but still get lots of noise. I plug the usb in to the front of the pc with the mic lead (joined to the usb) in to the front mic slot. All the software was downloaded OK. Any adivce ?
Cheers

Hi soulandy,
My guess would be that the mic's:
a) Too sensitive, though this is unlikely.
b) Too near / pointing straight at / is right next to the speaker(s).
c) It's knackered. Try turning the sperakers off and seeing what sound you get.
I have a Logitech webcam with in-built mic sitting pretty close to one of my PC speakers - this sometimes causes problems, but (luckily) I can turn the offending speaker off. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
