But which VHS player should I buy??? used or a brand new one??

I have found 2 used but are they any good???
    JVC HR-S7722EU

I would recommend a Super VHS VCR over a standard VHS VCR.

The link I provided did reference US Models.
The JVC HR-S7722EU looks to be similar to the HR-S9600U.
The Panasonic NV-FS88 HQ looks good too, although it may not have a TBC/DNR system?

  6. So Davideck

Which of these would you go for....they are all used and have added the price..

JVC HR-S7722EU - 80$ - has only been used as Tuner in a home cinema system, so drive is not been used...he says....

    Panasonic NV-FS88 HQ - 175$

    Panasonic NV HS1000 (Digital TBC) - 475$

    And found this one
    Super VHS, JVC Hr-D8500 - 636$

Hope Iam not bothering you too much with my questions...

At $80, the HR-S7722EU looks to be the best value.

  8. But will I get a much better picture with some of the other models, or will the final result be nearly the same??
How much difference will the final result be with Digital TBC is it worth all the extra money..

The 7722 should be similar to the 7600. It's a "foreign model" so I've never used one personally.

Yes, a TBC is worth the money. It should have other audio and video filters too.

The HR-S7722EU has (digital) TBC/DNR, right? That's what makes it such a great value.

I think that "nearly the same" is in the eye of the beholder.
Your results will depend upon the condition of your tapes, and you may eventually need a more expensive VCR for tapes that are problematic (as in the link that I referenced above). Even so, for $80, I would start with the HR-S7722EU and go from there.

I have several VCRs that I use for capturing. Sometimes a certain tape will just play better in one VCR than in another.
