  1. Hello,

I created a standard SVCD (Video-2200Kbps,Audio-224Kbps) from a verh high quality VHS tape. The SVCD it quite good ....video looks great and the audio sounds great, no problems there.

However, the audio and video are not in sync after I fast forward or rewind the movie. I tried it on the APEX AD-1500, which I took back to the store within 1 hr of buying it because the DVD playback was just CRAP on CRAP. I will be getting the Pioneer DV-343 soon and will try it again.

What I've notice is that when I play the SVCD on my PC the sync problems occur after FF depending on the software used. If I use WinDVD 3.1 I can FF or RW as many times without any sync problems. If I use Media Player or any of the other players the sync problems appear.

Basically, after FF or RW the Video lags the Audio i.e. you hear the sound before the scene appears. This was consistent on the Apex but the same SVCD players absolutely GREAT with WinDVD 3.1.

Has anyone found the reason why this would happen after FF or RW, especially with a standalone DVD player??

My theory is that the Video is not being decoded as fast as the audio hence the lag time. ???????

The question is how do I fix the problem.

  2. Honestly, you could start by not irritating everyone on the boards. Here's how:

    1. Don't double post your message in the same forum.

    2. Don't post your message in three different forums, for a total of the same message being posted 4 times.

You've been to these boards before and been told not to do this in the past... you shouldn't be doing it again now.

  3. piss off moron ....... you did the same thing by replying to all my posts.

If you don't know the answer ... just piss off
    Bye,
