I am only using Virtualdub and i am not quite satisfied.

I would like to add more light (brightness) to some movies. The movies are too dark.

I have tried with Virtualdub brightness filter.

There are plenty of other VD filters available here:

    http://neuron2.net/

Try the 'Brightness/Contrast (UI Enhanced) Filter. It has a preview window, unlike VDs included filter. Another I use is the 'White Balance Filter' by Jim Leonard. It has color, contrast and brightness and other adjustments all on one page.

And if you are judging the brightness of a video by viewing it on a computer monitor, it will look darker there than when viewed on a TV.

Check the 'Tools' section to the left for more editors. <<<

Easiest NonLinear Editor I've ever used. Drag n Drop onto the timeline, quick editing, render to AC3 Dolby Digital, tons of filters, including Gamma, Brightness and Contrast.

For the most part, if VirtualDub & Avisynth can't do it....you don't need it.

I am new to all this (hence, posting in Newbie area); but, I am very happy with the Pinnacle Studio 10 Plus software I purchased.
