    And please all Microsoft and Mac gurus ( I am a Mac guy) Buy I know that after every upgrade Microsofts get best on the market, and vice versa for Quicktime.

    I hava dvb-t USB card and can now plug in my tv/video to the computer. I am now looking for the best solution for real time streaming over the net.

    So the streaming application must have a converter as the signal in is mpg and I think DivX would be the best for output / streaming.

    I will stream fairly low quality as the reciving line is only 1024KBs, so maybe 320x240 have to do?

    Can any body give me some hints wcich are the best streaming media today and what format should I use? What about h264 I heard about?

    You might want to look at VLC Media Player. It can used for streaming video. Also in 'Tools', there is this list:
