I have a program I recorded from TV with my DVD Recorder and can't seem to rip it to my Hard Drive with DVD Decrypter. It plays fine in the Recorder but when I try to rip it I end up with the following message(s) after about 46 minutes of the 64 minutes have been ripped. I've done this many times before with no problems. Can anyone tell me what this means and what to do about it?

Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

  2. There is really no need to use decrypter, since it is not encrypted. You can just copy the files using windows explorer.

I understand that. What I want to do is demux to separate streams and then use Cuttermaran to cut out some of the beginning and ending of the video. Also, I did use Windows Explorer to copy it to my Hard Drive. I then tried to demux them and had the same problem. I tried using DVDLab Pro to demux the files but ended up with exactly the same short video that I did with DVD Decrypter. I'm lost as to what to do now.

    Thanks for the reply.

If you just want to cut some beginning and ending stuff just copy files to HDD and use dvdshrink to edit both of them.

The recorder is a Philips DVDR 75.

I'll give ISOBuster a try. I've never used it so this could be interesting. Thanks for the help.

  8. Are you sure you finalized the DVD in your recorder?

If you are using a +R - Finalize it.
If you are using an RW disc - Protect it.
The more you attempt to crap on that disc(4 hours, 6 hours)....the more difficult it will be to work with that disc on a computer.
I have a Philips DVDR985....even older than yours...

Yep, IsoBuster is great when you hit something you can not get any other way!! I have used it to rip files from dvds/disc's that would not even show up as having anything on them.

And i dont know about the Philips, i would assume they are all the same, but when i dont finalize a dvdr in my standalone it wont even show up as having anything on the disc in any of my pc drives with any program except IsoBuster!!

Ive had a few disc's that i could not get to finalize and the only way i could get anything off the disc was with IsoBuster!! great program to buy, IsoBuster Pro 1.8
