    Hi all,

Last time I posted on here I was frantically trying to change avi's & mpeg's into something I could watch on a DVD player.....how things change !

Nowadays what I want to do is edit the dvd's recorded by my new player off the TV - to take out the bits before and after the programme and possibly any adverts.

Can anyone recommend a program that's easy for a newbie (possibly freeware ?)

I'm quite content to keep them in dvd format, though for file size when trying to put a whole series on one disc maybe an edit and convert to divx would be better?

    Regards and Merry christmas,

There are long ways , and then there is cutterman .

Cutterman is what you should try first , if it work's , fine .

If it dosent , then this can still be done using freeware , but takes longer ... then again , the results are accurate doing the long way .

If the programs are commercial free then dvdshrink would work. If the shows have commercials then what I use is TMPGEnc DVD Author. Simple to use but not freeware.
