Do DVD+RW have a limit on number of times it can be rewrittened?
First time I burned a movie on a DVD+RW disc then played it, it works fine. I rewrittened on the DVD+RW several times and now, the same DVD player I used can no longer read the same media.

Try a full erase before you write your next disc.

Also realize, that you can't reburn and dvdrw an indefinate number of times. They only work so many times, and then you are done!

You should be able to reuse the same disc many times...that is the whole point.

In theory, you can reuse the discs hundreds if not a few thousand times. I've never gotten to that point and I doubt few users have but I do have some that I have used dozens of times with no problems.
Obviously the more you use them the greater the risk of damage (scratches etc..) in which case it can become unusable but then your burner will give an error also or will not read the burned disc. I have one that seems bad. I can burn it but after that my burner won't read it. I have another that my burner won't even see. In both cases it was my fault.
In case #2, I interrupted a burn during the writing of the leadin.

In case #1, I interupted a burn further in. I suspect that if I do a complete erase this disc will be ok.

I own 70 to 80 of these discs so I'm not in a rush to check it out but that is why I suggested that you do a full erase.
Unfortunately it can take from 20 to 60 minutes depending on the speed of the erase (1x to 2.4x) that's why I haven't bothered fixing that disc yet.

There is no limit, unless the disc becomes damaged. In your case, it could be any number of things: The disc could be scratched/worn enough that your standalone is having trouble reading it, but it works perfectly fine in your pc. Your standalone could be aging and the laser isn't powerful enough any longer to read an RW disc. Or it could just be a bad burn.

Have you tried reburning the same disc? Have you tried burning the same data onto another disc?

  8. if you have Nero use the utility to do a full erase, if it is not working just get rid of it. I bought several made in Japan couple of years back they work perfectly better than -R or +R's .
