  1. I am trying to figure out how to convert an MPEG clip to a DVD format and for the life of me can't find anything anywhere on how best to do it.

Any expert advice as to what program to use would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Vance

If your mpeg is DVD ready then just use TMPGEnc DVD Author (TDA) to author and burn. If it's not dvd ready then TDA will tell you.

And if it's not DVD compliant, you will likely have to re-encode it. Check 'What is' DVD to see the DVD specs, then look at 'Convert' for some guides on how to do that. Both to the left. <<<<<<<

Or look in 'Tools' for 'Video Encoders (MPG/DVD)'

  4. I have taken VOB files, demux'ed them to elementary streams ( MV2 and AC3 ) with Vobrator, edited them with Mpeg2schnitt, then imported the edited MV2 and AC3 streams into Ifoedit and used the DVD Author function to create compliant dvds. All the above are freeware.
