hi all, happy holidays to those who apply. ok im a newbie, i really need help. i live on a fixed very small income, so i havent upgraded yet to dvd burns, i am still using the 700 meg svcd type burns. i only have one dvd player, and i lost the remote,.. i once burned a movie and it will play automatic-( pop it in the dvd player and it starts right away, dont have to go to a menue and select) since i have no remote and cant find original remote even on line.. can someone help tell me what software program i used to burn it, are what program will burn and when you pop the burned disc into a dvd player it starts rightway, no messing with a menu?? please help, i have several movies i want to burn for the holidays, share with family, thx....
( ps. - i have read and read and still cant find any info how for i am wanting so thats why i am asking, thx)

Just as a passing thought, I'd consider going into the local video/tv repair shop (id there is still such a thing) and see if they have a box of old remotes. (The shop next to me does) (and they are given away)

Nero is one possibility, VCDEasy is another. All of the following softwares can also allegedly author VCDs:

I used DVD2SVCD before I had a DVD burner for SVCDs and it autoplayed with my player. But it depends somewhat on your DVD player.
You can probably pick up a low cost universal remote control that might work with your player, but they often won't do as much as the factory remote. Check a few and see if your player is listed on the package.
BTW, When you post here, we appreciate a more descriptive post title. 'im a newbie, help' is not a proper title. Even 'Which SVCD program to use?' would be better.
