    All,

    Has any of the major DVD burner companies announced any plans and when they will launch Blu-Ray and or HD-DVD burners? I see Nero has already released Nero 7 which has the capability to burn Blu-Ray discs, even tho' there are so such disc or players on the market yet

    I guess it would be the readers that would be out first before the burners. You're looking a good few years yet for burners. Even when they do come out, they will be too expensive.

    Yes, that makes sense, because like all new tech, everything about it is going to be expensive and barrier to entry for most everyone.

    I am interesetd to see the price of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players and Hollywood releases in that format, which should be out by mid-2006. I am expecting sticker shock for all of the above.
