I used firewire to transfer my DV file using Premiere movie capture. Once encode to MPEG2 and author to DVD, I notice several horizontal bands of noice on fast moving scene. I used my LG DVD recorder to recorder on DVD and there was no such problem. What cause the problem ? Firewire card ?

It sounds like improper encoding of interlaced material, but we need a little better explanation of the problem. How big are these horizontal bands? Can you post a screenshot so we can see it? Almost certainly the firewire card has nothing to do with the problem.

Hi gadgetguy,
When I play the DVD on a standalone player, and when there is a fast moving scene, several horizontal bar will flicker acroos the TV screen. -
I think I have found the problem. I took 3 DV tapes during my vacation. Only the first tape is giving such problem. The rest of OK. I use my LG DVD recorder to record from the tape and that fix the problem.
