I suppose you're talking about public domain movies you've downloaded.
The quality of a DivX is mostly related to the quality of the source material (and bitrate used). For a good DivX encode, I suspect the source is uncompressed or very little compressed - Trying the same trick from a VCD won't live up to your expectations.

:( i didnt get,it meanz there no solutin to my problems,ok then  .How about Xvid to Avi.Bcs when i did downloaded xvid movie long ago,i got 1.2gb of size. Now i want to compress it to Avi.How?

XviD is a video codec. Often it comes in an AVI container. So, AVI is just a way to package audio and video as one file.
DivX and XviD are, in most respects, very similar. If anything, most around here seem to prefer XviD over DivX.
Sure, you can reencode your XviD to DivX (or to XviD again) to reduce size, but the quality will suffer badly.
The best source material the "average Joe" can use when creating DivX/XviD, is a commercial DVD.

Also, if you want to be taken seriously, I suggest you stop spelling like an child. My six year old spells and writes more clearly than you do. It's not cool, just ignorant.Read my blog here.

I think you should look into something like AutoGK.
After that I'd try the Guides section, followed by the tools section, followed by a mountain of reading. There's plenty of info here already that can help you learn this craft. Of course, should you get stuck, feel free to ask questions along the way. But be prepared to do a lot of "homework" yourself as no-one will spoonfeed you.
... and I'd suggest that you re-read the rules of this site, as you're agonisingly close to breaking them IMHO. Stay within the rules and I'm certain you'll get plenty of assistanceIf in doubt, Google it. -
:( oh come on guyz,i was just asking for ur help.Im not breaking any rules,i just want to save my hardrive space thatz all

Don't you just love the "Email" jargon such as UR for You are and Z instead of S. You will not be taken serious my friend.

jimmalenko already made one very good suggestion with AutoGK. It would also be my choice.
I agree with those that say you need to improve your writing skills. Your first post was almost unreadable because of the combination of bad grammer, lack of proper punctuation and spacing, spelling, and that godawful leet talk. You might be able to get away with that garbage at some places, but not at any reputable site. -
but i think autoGK is for DVD files only, actually i want to convert my VCD (.DAT) to DiVX.So i can compress ma video files, atleast less then 1 GB.

Disregard the last line when it talks about extracting the audio to WAV though. If in doubt, Google it. -
Fair Use Wizard is a good XVID/DIVX conversion program. It is easy for the novice and has a lot of tweak flexibility for the more experienced user.

Guess what guyz,I did convert one .DAT to .AVI without losing quality with the help of VirtualDub.But the problem is,when i am using PLAYBACK function,i found that sound is running much faster then picture.I mean Sound and Picture is not matching.Any Help?
-
By the way, have you read any of the guides on conversion & sync issues etc.
I suggest you go through the guides section where you will find excellent reading material posted by some brilliant members of this forum. Dont take it otherwise. When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months. -
Well guyz one more question,I tried to convert some XviD movie files to Avi by VIRTUALDUB.But still getting lip sync problems.Any help.
-
XviD is generally "packaged" as AVI, so no need for any conversion there.
Without knowledge of your source files, it's hard to tell, but generally, VBR audio can cause all kinds of headache.
