  1. I'm new at this, but I cannot get VirtualDub or CCE 2.5 SP to accept an AVI. What do I need to do. The AVI's are from a DV cam, I tried rendering them as uncompressed AVI but still no go. I'm using XP and an Athlon 1200. CCE tries to convert the AVI but comes up with the XP and error occurred, send info to microsoft etc.

    Thanks for any help.

  2. I have the exact same problem. I think it has something to do with the codec used to import your DV. I bypassed it by importing DV into my Ulead Mediastudio after capturing and saving it as an AVI using the Huffyuv compression. This compression is said to be lossless and I believe that (it's actually almost 2x as big as the DV captured AVI). I also resize at this point since you don't need to do that later on with Vdub or TmpGenc ... and it's better quality if you do it there.

    Greets and good luck.
