I was watching American Dad last night since I'm at work when it comes on. There was a scene in the closet of an art gallery where the valet mentioned they had **** fighting. Subsequently one landed on Francine's head and messed up her hairdo. She stepped out of the closet and said:
'Your [BLANK] really did a number on my hair.'
I'm not editing that myself, the audio was dropped out for a second, although it was obvious what was being said, even if you can't read lips. Since the whole **** fighting gag was already set up and obvious (not to mention the word '****' wasn't bleeped out when '**** fighting' was mentioned, was it REALLY necessary to block it out 2 seconds later?
I'm used to some things being edited out on national television, but not usually a network's own shows. I have to admit that at present I'm in the bible belt, but damn.![]()

I watched that too, and the '****' wasn't bleeped or dropped when i watched it....she said it loud and clear. I don't know why your station would silence it.
-
Some local stations edit content sometimes. I missed that episode so can't tell you but I'm sure it wasn't bleeped out here.
His name was MackemX
What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -
Yep!!

Just her saying that one word. -
i just rewatched it, and yes.. it was edited out.. just a bit of silence..
i figured it was dish network cutting out again like it does once in a while.. -
Well, after about 8pm in Australia you can hear all the F-words and C-words you like on TV. Two free to air channnels show uncut movies. Even with all that, it is nothing compared to Europe.

I have it taped, and it wasn't bleeped/silenced in my vicinity.
BTW, why have a "didn't watch it" option? You're trying to find out about something in the show from those who have watched it, right?
I hereby revoke your polling license. -
I doubt if S.F. does (especially the ones that are double-entendres) and I rarely see them bleep them here (except for the obvious ones), though I do get the same Fox affiliate.
In fact, they've already used a similar gag before, with the news reporters:
Diane: Well Tom, the city of Boston is examining its conscious tonight in preparation for a visit from the Pope.
Tom: That's right Diane, and I'll tell you what else will be examined... this ****. Yes the Rhode Island **** society will be sponsoring free check-ups for this years **** awareness week. I don't know why they went with such a suggestive name; they could have just as easily gone with rooster. Diane. -

Some local stations edit programs, others don't. However, the stations who edit generally don't change the closed captioning.
