I used IFO EDIT and change all the IFO's in the Video_ts folder to referrence NTSC in both menu and film info. You must change ALL lines that have PAL to NTSC or it will not work. I have done this to several films to test on about a 8 different DVD player barnds with 100% success. I am aware some do not believe this to be a good conversion, and not consistant, but it beats a 22hour re-encode with Vegas 6. There is sometimes a slight green to it. Good luck.

it is the same as stretch , keep pitch

you just have to determine how much - which is easy

I get both the audio AND video in one shot with ifo edit. I do not have to do anything else if the audio is in DD 5.1 or PCM. I do, however, use Decryptor to demux both audio and video streams and import in Vegas for re-encoding for sources with sync issues and undesireable/workable formats. Never had a problem with it.
