I cant play avi file right (no picture) because i dont have right decompressor and it says it's IV50 PCM. what is that? codec? where can I get it?

  2. IV50 stands for Indeo Video version 5.0. Indeo was a subdivision of Intel and was bought by Ligos a few years back and vanished into thin air. Normally this codec is installed as a standard Windows item, but here is a link to a download version of IV 5.11. (This is so new it is only supported by processors with MMX technology!! :P )

Windows Media Audio Professional Microsoft This codec is used to encode complex audio files, such as music files. This codec supports multichannel encoding and 24-bit encoding. Two versions of this codec are the Windows Media Audio 9 Professional codec and the Windows Media Audio 9.1 Professional codec.

Thank you so much for the link. I have Vista and had an old training video at work that would not play because it was in an avi format...You saved my butt for my meeting tomorrow.
