I created a DVD slide show with audio using DVDLab Pro. When the picture transits to another, the audio gets cut off momentarily. Is there a way to fix the audio problem ?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. When the sound cuts out are you; watching the finalized disc on a standalone DVD player, or are previewing it through dvdlab? On other programs, I've had stuttering in the sound during the transitions when previewing the show, CPU is tied up doing the transition and the sound drops out. When I went to burn it, everything was fine. Do a short test show on an RW to make sure everything is working.

  3. If you are watching it on your PC you definitely need to burn to DVD and check on your standalone. I have similar problems happen every time I compile with DVD Lab Pro. I'll watch it on my PC and videos will pause or not play smoothly, but when I play them on my standalone player they are fine.

I have seen this happen on some standalone players. The first one to do this to me was a Phillips. The same disk played fine on Pioneers, crappy no-name brands and LGs, but Phillips dropped the audio during the slideshow. Never found a solution other than to use alternate software for slideshows.

Thanks for all the reply. The momentarily sound during slide transition occur on a stand alone Shinco DVD player. I notice if I extend the slide duration to more than 6 seconds, it's less prominent. I take the picture direct (.jpg format) and the size is about 1.5MB. Reducing it help ? What about converting it to wav ?

  6. What happens when you play the disc on the computer? (This is usually more forgiving)

Do you have access to another stand-alone player?

When it comes to the file size, I've had Memories on TV choke on oversized Photoshop files but once it compiled it was OK.

Note: I haven't used DVDLab pro specifically, (Its on my list to try) but have done many shows using other programs.

Just an update. I shrink the jpg file from 1.5MB to 250KB. The soundd off issue is dramatically reduced.
