In VirtualDubMod, the File > Open Video File "automatically load linked segments" does not work. I choose the first file in the series, make sure the option is checked, and VirtualDubMod only loads the first clip.
The WinDV program had named them like this:
test.avi.01.avi
test.avi.02.avi
test.avi.03.avi
VirtualDubMod would not link them, so I tried renaming to
test_01.avi
test_02.avi
test_03.avi
and it still does not work. WTF? What naming convention does VirtualDubMod expect?

Load 1 then append 2 and the rest will be appended too.
At least that's how it works for me."Shut up Wesley!" -- Captain Jean-Luc Picard

Thanks, that did the trick. I wish they would make stuff like this more obvious.
