I can burn dvd+r at 16x without a problem in nero 7. The problem is it fails when it tries to burn a DL dvd+r at 2x. I think it is a software problem. I called nero and they want me to save the log of the error problem. It is a backup of a dvd that I purchased. The problem is I'm uncomfortable sending out information about my computer over to them. I'm wondering if they are just going to look at the error message or if they can look at other stuff and what I'm burning through the log file.

    Thanks

If your logfile contains the name of your video, edit it out. It's just a text file, you should be able to do this with Notepad. There should be no other information in there to worry about.

Nero 7 seems to have more than it's share of problems. But I imagine they will get it fixed as it's reputation and it's sales are likely not doing well at the moment.

DL burning is somewhat new also. I have three Verbatim DL discs laying on my desk right now and I figure I have a 50/50 chance of being able to burn them properly and having them work on my players.

With anything new, you have to find the right tools and methods to make them work and stick with them. It's still a little expensive to experiment, though.

I tried read write iso in dvd decrypter. It didn't work. I got this error message.

    I/O Error!

    Failed to write sectors

    Invalid address for write

    Write Error

I'm not sure what this means. Any suggestions?

    Shouldn't +R be 2.4x?
Just a thought. Both programs should detect the correct burn speed automatically and very easily BUT...it doesn't hurt to mention it I guess.
