    i have a mac, FCP, DVDSP, and make amateur dvds from home videos, etc...

    also have MTR and toast

    i also capture some clips from tivo...

    what software will let me end up with wmv files for my inept or firewalled friends who cant see my quicktime movie clips on web?

    I dont speak good codec, so simple would be nice....

    well i just priced that solution...works great for me but it is a little pricey...anything without the bells and whistles?

    Windows Media Player will play MPEG-4 videos. Just use that format for your cross-platform videos.

    if they insist on wmv,
    try Flip4Mac's WMV Studio.
