I have had my 520h for about one year. I have never had any problems. But now after I tried to copy from the HD to some Princo DVDR-, I have problems to play any recorded discs.
When I tried to copy from the HD to those Proncos, I got this message on the screen "can't complete copy". I have never experienced this before. This happened 5 or 6 times. OK, I lost the Princo-discs, but whats worse, is that I now cant play any recorded discs (both the discs I burned on my PC or discs made on the 520h). I have never had any problems playing those discs on the 520h before. I have no problems playing original DVD's.
OK, my english is not very good, but I hope you understood. Thank you in advance for any suggestions![]()

I would try a laser lens cleaning kit. Original dvd's tend to be more reflective making them easier to play with a dirty lens.

It may well be the lens ..but.. maybe you have a bad batch of media. I recently bought 50 blanks ( AML) which are 100% rubbish, not 1 good burn. Try another brand of media and see if the problem persists.
It's ironic, Princo are reportedly rubbish media in most countries around the world but downunder, I have not experienced any problems at all.
