Hi!
Is it possible to open a frameserved file (virtualdub) with a media player directly without encoding it?
I tried to open *.vdr file with media player classics but i reiceve an error.
Instead tmpgenc open it with no problems..
Thanks!

Media Player Classic will give you error simply because it is not designed to read a vdr file.
A vdr file is a dummy / temporary file used for frameserving audio & video streams to an encoder application like TMPGEnc. Frameserving is used generally when the encoder app does not recognise a particular audio / video stream. This avoid compatibility issues. When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months. -
Why would you want to do this?
You want to apply filters/resize whatever and view it on the fly?
