are 16xspeed dvd blanks disks better than 8xspeed?

Hy there

i burn all my data on x2 speed settings (with my pioneer 106 which has x4 speed max).But i was wondering as i am burning data at x2speed level on x8 speed blank dvds...but if i was to use x16 speed blank dvd would there be any difference in terms of quality,preservation,etc?

Why would there be?
I use 16x disks in my Ilo's and the burns are fine.
I burn everything as fast as the max. No problems on any player in the house.
I think the days of slow safe burns are long gone.
