I just had to install .NET framework at work today in order to run a trial on Quick Books Point of Sale. Now I am forced to use the welcine screen to click a user name each time. Only one user, but whatever. That in itself isn't horrible, but everytime I'm away from the PC for a few minutes I come back and have to click it again to get back in. Anywayto disable that?

Check your screen saver settings to see if the On Resume, Password Protect is enabled.

yes it sure was. I've never used that option nor .NET before so I wasn't aware it even existed. I'm assuming the installation must have changed this. Thanks.

.net makes this change. Your system will always ask this on restart now though. I don't know anyway to change that.

Yeah, I'm use to it since all my PCs are password protected anyway. The bosses kid uses the one at work the most though and he hates anything that makes him take an extra step to get to the sports sites. If I password locked it he might take time out to do his job for once...or maybe not.
