Is this all I would need to send Computer to HDtv?

I have a set of cables such as you are looking at. I've used them to output the signal to a standard TV via a cable box connection but never directly to an HDTV. In my case the videocard was a 8MB Diablotek ATI Rage outputting to a scientific atlanta set top.

It's worth a shot. I'd certainly heed the advice of edDV as he is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to these types of things. I'd try it using a standard set top box and a standard TV before attempting something that could become a nightmare come true with your HDTV.

My Lazyboy has been relegated to the home office as it clashes with my better halves furniture.

I have them. But I didnt get to Chose the Color.

Also if anything looks "Even" like a Computer and It's not in the Home Office,I never hear the end of it.

Tuner boxes may use DB-15 connectors but that doesn't mean that they are VGA.

It isn't easy to simplify this subject. There are so many exceptions.

That can get expensive where custom cables are tried.

All I can say, is research your display card, TV and/or set top box and google for working examples before investing money.

It took me a few minutes to find'em but I just tried connecting these same cables to an RF modulator box and it failed to produce a signal on screen. Thanks for letting me know about these not being able to work in every instance. I would have thought after my initial working that they would work in any case. I also used an ATI 9800 Pro for this latest test if that makes a difference.
