It's worth a shot. I'd certainly heed the advice of edDV as he is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to these types of things. I'd try it using a standard set top box and a standard TV before attempting something that could become a nightmare come true with your HDTV.

Tuner boxes may use DB-15 connectors but that doesn't mean that they are VGA.

It took me a few minutes to find'em but I just tried connecting these same cables to an RF modulator box and it failed to produce a signal on screen. Thanks for letting me know about these not being able to work in every instance. I would have thought after my initial working that they would work in any case. I also used an ATI 9800 Pro for this latest test if that makes a difference.
