I have an MP3, and the sound isn't as crisp as it should be. Are there ways to improve the quality (smoother)? In other words, improving the audio after it has been converted to a low bitrate.

I did some searching on the forums, but I only found how to make audio files louder (normalizing).

    Thanks.

  2. You will need the original audio to make a cleaner MP3.
You can use filters on your MP3 file but it will just sound worse unless you have non-golden ears.

Oh, I thought there would some sort of filters to do this. (like how you can improve digital pictures that have been compressed too much, using photoshop).

Same thing applies with any digital media, photo's, videos, audio, ect.
Once it's gone, it's gone, you may be able to play around a little in an EQ program, but once it's gone it's gone.
