Magix software will not burn my dvd?

Hello,

I am using photostory 4 on cd&dvd. I have made my very first slideshow with this program. The problem is that I can not get it to burn.

NOw, I have went through all the formalities , that I know of. I must use DVD-R.

The software program tells me my dvd is full. while the computer tells me it is empty.

The software goes through the whole burning process. tells me it was sucseeful. Then there is nothing on the dvd.
Also I put a dvd in to start the burning process. it goes through it all and at the last step it tells me to put in a blank disc.

I am using a cheap dvd as of now (because I didn't want to waste other dvds) but it has 120 min. and a 4.7 GB @ a 4x.

I have been working on this for about 2 weeks now. I have tried calling the software company but they don't answer the phones. I really need someone to help..
I have no clue what to do.

Does this software output a DVD title set for you? (VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folder set) If so, you can try a different method of burning them to DVD. I am not familiar with the program you are using, but if it's outputting a valid title set you can definitely get it on DVD using some tried & true quality freeware apps.
