Does anyone know what it's suppose to fix or change?
I'm having some slight fluttering problems when recording vhs with my new Panny dvd recorder (even after exchanging it). It looks like a loose connection or weak signal. I spoke at length with "tech support" who finally said he'd send an upgrade disc. I asked what it would fix but he didn't know, so I'm not optimistic it will help my problem. I still haven't gotten the disc, and I'm runnig out of time if I want to return the Panny, so I need to know if the disc will really help. And no, it's not my cables, vcrs or tapes that are causing the problem.

  2. Are you recording commercial vhs? Also, did you try another vcr? Sometimes its the vcr not the recorder.

If you have a CD burner for your computer (Windows 2000/XP), go here:

    http://www.panasonic.ca/english/customercare/sandd/softwarequery.asp

enter DMRES20 as the model number, and download the firmware yourself.

There isn't any information in the file indicating what it will fix.
