I admit it, I am new to the DVD realm. After lurking and searching I think I found my answer. The question was: How do I take the files on a DVD I made from VHS using DVDirect (Sony), into an editing software so I could delete scenes, add transitions etc, then make a new DVD.

I read about VOB2MPG. Downloaded and installed it along with .netframe.
Everything went OK w/o error. I ran VOB2MPG, told it where the video_ts file was and told it to put the mpg in desktop/test. When it finished, there was nothing in desktop/test. Where is my file? I searched my drives for *.mpg without finding a video_ts anything. Also, doesn't this "ripping?" software need the second folder called video_rm?

    Thanks for the help.

Does the desktop/test folder already exist or are you letting the program try to create it?

I've never used it, but it should only need to know the video_ts folder like it asked you. As for the output file, it should be listed as the name you told it to save it as.
