    I am using HDTV2DVD. When I try to drag an mpg to my assets, the cursor changes to the plus sign as if it's going to copy it but nothing happens. How do I get my mpg in there to edit?

    It will only accept MPEG2 Transport Streams. In addition to that they must have a .tp or .ts extension. So if you have a mpeg (which is a transport stream, not a program stream) make sure it has the aforementioned extension - rename if not.

    Thanks for the reply. After I posted my question, I realized that the reason I got HDTV2DVD was to transcode the ts files. I'm very new at all this and just wasn't paying attention.
