  1. I went to the apple website and found a list of third-party applications that you can put on your iPod. They have a range of programs to download from, mostly being cool little things you can do to make your iPod yours.

I downloaded, being a college student (and thinking it would be a coversation) , ones having to do with having a list of how to make mixed drinks. Anyways, they are .dmg files and I have no idea how to put them on my iPod and make them work.

Anyone try any of these or have instructions how to work them?

FYI: I have the latest 30gb Video iPod, and the latest iTunes and came up with nothing finding a solution

DMG is the compressed file format Mac OS X uses. You might be able to open it with Winzip or Winrar, or google for a utility to open it.

I wonder if you even should extract them before putting them on the pod. If that disk image was created in HFS+ it may give you a heap of trouble. There must have been instructions available to all users where you downloaded it from. If not go over to www.ilounge.com and see if you can stir up an answer there.

  5. here's the link http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/

Now that I'm reading it though, I think I'm SOL anyways. Could be wrong, but I think they are only for MAC systems. Am I wrong?
