mpeg1/2 to divx

Hi,
How can i encode an mpeg to a divx file without losing a signicant amoutn of qaulity, and not getting a divx file size near the size of the mpegs?

To convert mpeg1 to Divx just use virtualdub.
To convert an mpeg2 file, either use tmpegenc>vfapi or use flaskmpeg.

forget it. the divx community is concerned greatly with filesize, not quality.
