Apex DVD player. VCD burned to CD-R (Kodak Gold). Usually burn by double clicking the CUE file and burning with FireBurner 1.06. (A few times, extracted MPG from BIN with VCDGear and burned with Nero). Sometimes with some VCDs, playback is jumpy. Meaning all is fine - then all of a sudden the video speeds up like a fast motion burst of speed and audio loses sync. After a second, video returns to normal speed, and a few seconds later, audio syncs back up. Why do these jump to fast motion and lose audio sync - and how do I avoid this in the future?

You must have a 660 or 600. I have the same problem with my 660. Other people having the same problems. They work fine on SVCD but crappy on vcd. Try searching on 'lipsync'. You should find a lot of posts.
