    Can anyone recommend the best program with a filter for a grainy Mpeg2? I tried the Noise Reduction filter on TMPGenc Xpress but it didn't do much to the grainy picture.

    You can use any of the virtualdub filters on mpegs if you use virtualdubmpeg2. But it will spit out an avi unless you frameserve to an mpeg encoder.

    Post a few seconds so we can see what type of noise, how much noise etc. Then you might get a more specific recommendation
