I have created a photoslideshow with some route maps and other little features and converted them to DVD compliant MPEG2 and now I wish to author in Encore 1.5 (+ patch).
I want to add subtitles (i didnt embed them in the MPEG, in ulead video studio because I want to be able to turn them on and off) which say what the photo is and also create a commentry audio track in which I recall my trip vocally, again I want to be able to turn this on and off like directors commentry.
1 - Subtitles. I thought this would be easy but Encore seems to play up and give errors when changing fonts and it is also very hard to edit the timing and placement of the subtitle. E.g. In videostudio, I just type the text, set the style and then using the mouse move it to where I want it and stretch it in the timeline for the length.
Can I add Subtitles directly to Encore or is it better to use an external program and import them? I found a free one sub-title workshop but dont know if it is better to use that or directly to Encore?
2 - Audio commentry. I dont think this is a problem, but was just wondering in my test runs I either had to have my voice and none of the music on the main audio track or the music and not my voice from the commentry track.
As my slideshow contains music I was wondering If I could just have my voice over the top of it and maybe the music lowers, like commentry from directors on real DVD's, you can still here the movie its just that the director talks over it. Is that possible??
Thankyou.
