    Today i got my new IP-TV connection and with that a great TV quality. And it will bring some great quality when capturing to the computer. But what settings in Multimedia center should i use to get the absolute best quality. I have read the guide at digitalFAQ but its for an older version and its not an guide on how to get the best quality. So please tell me wich settings should i use to get the best quality?

    Display quality is dependant upon your source and isn't adjustable. It may vary by video card and monitor, especially setup of the monitor.

    I expect you are referring to capture settings? Those are completely adjustable and there should be some preset choices to get you started.

    the best capture setting for transferring to dvd would be something like this:

    720 x 480 resolution, 9500kbps video CBR, 224kbps Audio. No video soap or whatever they call it nowadays. This will get you about an hour on a dvd.

    If you want more to fit on a dvd you can try 352 x 480, 6000kbps CBR, 224kbps Audio, No video soap..If you are using a SD tv you may not notice much of a difference between these 2 settings.

    9800kbps is about the most standalone dvd players will handle, that is why i chose the 9500/224 combo as it gets you real close to that limit without going over.
