Sound out-of-sync

Hi, can anyone help. I have a Hauppauge digital TV PCI card to record Progs to my hard drive which work OK. My problem is that when I try to convert them to DVD video, (and I have tried several programs) to play on my DVD player the sound is out-of-sync. (The programs are OK when played back through WinTV 2000). Any advice?

try fix the digitaltv stream with projectx or pvastrumento or videoredo.
then try author the mpg, it could be dvd compliant, with for example tmpgenc dvd author.
if not convert to dvd with a good encoder like mainconcept mpeg encoder, tmpgenc xpress.

and what tools have you tried?
