How to add Pixelation !

Hello Mates,

please mates , can some one tell me like how to add pixelation etc to our MOVIE , like in some hollywood movies when there are some adults scene's the privates are not shown instead of them they pixelate those privates ,

please any one can tell me how can we do that or which software i need to do that

You can add static pixelation using a filter for virtauldubmod which is pretty easy to do.

Having the pixelation move around the screen with the subject is a bit trickier. Not sure if it can be done in virtualdub, but can be done in Adobe Premiere.Quick search came up with this - http://www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/tutdes_ppro_blurface.htm

The effect is usually called a mosaic. To track it you can either use either a built-in or plugin tracker (most compositing software has at least a basic tracker), or you will have to manually track the area using key frames. Once you have tracked it, you use the track to guide a mask that tells the effect which area to cover.
