I am interested in replacing my DVR from the cable company. Will any let me rewind live tv if I am not already recording it like my DVR does. Also do any have the ability to record two shows at once.

Live TV by definition can't be rewinded. But perhaphs your cable provider can store channels it broabcast. And if it accomadates you with interactive services you can ask it a TV program from any place.
But it rather seems as Video On Demand.

I think I read that some JVC DVD recorders with hard drive have an active buffer that continuously records whatever station you are tuned to. This will let you pause live TV.

I took delivery of a Sony RDR-HX510 yesterday. It also pauses live TV.
