Hey go bitch at Sony for their support then. The law imposes warranties to at least try to get people to work out their problems before crying to the courts for relief that they would have gotten sooner and cheaper through the manufacturer. I've gone through manufacturer warranty repairs and I've enforced warranties through legal action. Believe me when I say that the former is much faster, less painful, and less expensive.Originally Posted by lenti_75
What's with the attitude, and what does that have to do with this thread anyway? If you and your brother are that put out because of a 3 week wait than I suggest you file suit and see how far that gets you. By the time your case gets on the docket you'll be ready for a monitor upgrade because a class action lawsuit can easily take 3 YEARS. As painful as any tech support may ever be it is certainly preferable to a full blown class action lawsuit.
And btw, the law also allows for a number of remedies to enforce your warranty in a timely fashion if you know about them. With a few letters you can force Sony to get the hardware back to you quickly or else they'll have to refund your money.

I deal with warranties for components all the time. When a company takes too long that's when I snail mail them a letter demanding they either hurry up with the repair or refund my purchase price. I usually call them everyday for a week straight before I start demanding action. After several calls per day you usually get someone who eventually will speed up the process.
