I'm not at all impressed with 2.0.1 (the concept and interface seems easier to use - but the results, er frustration, I got stunk!)

Tried using it in place of 1.4.2 to backup Batman Returns as well as Sahara and had a full day of frustration.

MTR r12 managed to rip them both just fine.

DVD2ONE 2.01 appeared to process/burn properly (tried with both an internal Pioneer 106 and external FW Pioneer 109 - latest firmware on both - OS 10.3.9). Tried burning in both Full Disk and Main Feature modes. Also tried burning both to +RW and -R.

Results in both a DVD and .img that plays just fine on the Mac but not on a high end Panasonic DVD Recorder/Player. I only use high quality media and have not ever had a problem with this before on my equipment.
NONE of the DVD's would play all the way thru (would get stuck part way thru or the DVR would report DVD as "Unsupported" (that NEVER has happened before!)).

Made sure that the 2.01 prefs matched 1.42 prefs (as close as possible). Set Output size = 4400 (default in 2.0.1 was 4440).

Thru an entire day of trial and error (with all sorts of variations), determined the problem to be DVD2OneX 2.01.

Went back to using 1.42 and Toast and now both Batman Returns and Sahara play just fine on all my equipment.

Conclusion:
Stick with 1.4.2 and don't bother upgrading to 2.01 until they get these bugs worked out.
Goes to show... Just because it's "newer" doesn't mean it's any "better"!!!
