    Hi everyone

I just made my own video file from my JPG and audio files. I used TMPGEnc and loaded DVD (NTSC).mcf template. The created file is a .mpg. Then I burned the .mpg file onto a DVD +R (no authoring). I was able to play the disc on my PC and my stand alone Philips DVP642.

However, when I played on my brother's car DVD, it was rejected. My brother told me that his machine is able to play audio DVD. Do I have to author my .mpg file?

Next, out of curisosity, I used Nero to author a DVD (just to see if it will play in my brother's machine). Nero rejected my .mpg file, stating that the format I used - DVD (NTSC).mcf - is not supported.

Would somebody please help me understand what is going on?

    As always, a big THANKS.

yes, you must author. Try something better than nerovision.

<------- tools -> authoring(dvd) like tmpgenc dvd author, dvd-lab, etc.

and please use a better subject.
