I have recorded a digital program from my SD set top box. Although the broadcast is 16:9, the actual program is from 1984 and hence is 4:3. So it has the vertical bars down the sides. My problem is, when capturing (Winfast TV2000 deluxe card) using Winfast PVR, it is always stretching vertically. This is happening no matter what capture reswolution I choose. I started wih 720X576. I thought this would record exactly as per the VHS source. Not so. Winfast PVR playback of the file looks fine, but if I playback using anything else, it shows that it is vertically stretched. If I try to capture using Windows Movie Maker, it says that my device is in use (even when I have shut down Winfast). When I try and capture using Cyberlink Power Producer, it immediately shows the source as being 'verticall stretched' before I even record it. Can somebody please help. This is the first time I've taped to VCR from the dig STB and tried to capture to PC for DVD burning.
Thanks
Jon.
