Ok here's the trouble. My large TV broke , I get to buy a new one. So I have to test on a little TV but it seems this video is very dark on the screen of my little TV. The video is dark to begin with (bad lighting) but I think the TV is compounding the problem quite a bit. It looks decent on my monitor, much brighter than the TV. The video I view on the monitor is usually slightly darker .... So if someone could download and test this for that would be great.... or download just for entertainment...

Anyhow the video is approximately 8 minutes long. It's a .iso file. There's 2 songs on it, The first song "The Empire" is played frequently on a local radio station, the second song "The Worm & the Toad" charted on the original MP3.com for about a year in the top 100 in the Grunge category amny moons ago. Currently MP3.au has it listed as #56 of all time in the Grunge category.

I wouldn't classify it as Grunge, more like a modern rock/alternative/pop/ ....really no good category to put it in. It's mellow with a slight edge.... Enjoy.

    Hi thecoalman,

Every now and again, I drink too much and troll through all the "unanswered topics" trying to spread hope and help to those who've been neglected. This is another of those occassions...

I saw your ID and couldn't resist trying to help out - but I got told my PC was gonna self-destruct in 5... 4... 3... 2... "only kidding", and no link to the file.

I'd be glad to download it and try it out if you still want, and if I've still got a PC left. If not, I hope you got it sorted.

Are you sure you're not just doing it to drive Supreme2K batshit?

Hey SM - how ya doing?

It's not often I stray / wander / find myself in OT - but here I am...

Now, what drives S2K batshit? My drinking, my trolling through unanswered topics or helping neglected individuals?

Nice to see you in here even if it is once in a while.

From what I've gathered recently, Supreme (and others) seemed to have "issues" with threads being revived after they've died a natural death. I noticed you bumped a few of them and wondered if you were just in mode.

(I know the ones you bumped aren't that old, but nobody's ever mentioned a cutoff date as to what's considered old so that's why it crossed my mind.)

That's a custom 404 error, I've deleted the file since I posted this. I'll send you a link when I get another one.

Until they're mods and tell me otherwise, or until a real mod tells me otherwise, I'm happy to let them have their "issues" but shan't be taking any notice.

Sure, if it's had a few posts in it, the problem either can't be solved for whatever reason (lack of OP info, too difficult etc.) or it's come to a natural end and is ages old - fair enough. But these were no more than a month old, and hadn't received any responses. I specifcally trawl the "unanswered posts" link only. I don't see a problem with trying to help - even if it is old. Others may find it useful even if the OP has moved on... Each to their own eh?

P.S. I like the changing avatar. Nice touch!

Why, thank you, and thank you.

Personally, I never cared if old threads got bumped or died a natural death nor could I be bothered to decide what's considered too old. I always find it amusing though when others make such a big deal out of such little things and freak out.

Plus, I'll take any excuse to see Supreme2k driven batshit.

Yes, it is quite entertaining - not the actual act of winding them up so much, but more that they let themselves get wound up anyway. In a way, it's pitiful.

I quite often don't bother - it's too easy, no challenge!
But if, subsequently, I find that people have lost the plot then I have a quiet chuckle...
