I have two questions regarding sub-titles.
1. DEFAULT OFF: After adding a sub-title track to a DVD, how can one make the DVD default to have sub-titles OFF when it is played in the DVD player?
2. SUB-TITLE MENU: When adding the sub-title menu feature, is there any way to have a sub-titles off button (function)?
I couldn't seem to do that, I would like to have the sub-title menu screen have a sub-title on button (which points to the track and I figured that out), and also a sub-titles off button, which would preform the same function as the sub-title button on the DVD remote control.
Thanks.

What are you using to make your menu with? telling us will help us give you more specific assistance.
1. Yes, and most of the time this is the default setting, though I cannot say for whatever software your using. Depending on the software you may be able to set the video settings seperately depending on whether it uses multiple VTS or not, check for specific video options for each file your using.
As an aside if you are using multiple VTS and use the skip button on your DVD player to go to another video that is based on a seperate VTS your audio/subtitle settings will reset to whatever default is on the new video file, I have been running into this problem and been trying to solve it by turning all my video files into one file... tiresome to say the least.
2. Yes, if you have found the Subtitle on then likely the subtitle off won't be far, alternatively if you can't find the subtitle off just use subtitle workshop, or something similar, to create a subtitle stream with no events (i.e. an empty subtitle file) then switch to that one as the no subtitle option.
Also if for whatever reason you cannot set subtitle default to off, just make sure that your first subtitle choice, i.e. the one your software defaults to, your empty set.
