    looking for specs and reviews for this particular model. I've read about the problems with earlier JVC models and how this is suppose to be a better one. It's also the only brand Smurf guy really recommends, tho I don't see any reviews for this on the DVD RECORDER list. Most of the reviews and opinions (here and other websites) seem to be for the JVC DRM10.

  2. but if you do some searches you will pull up a zillion topics about this, many of which include reviews of the machine. I too picked this up and the loading bug was fixed if that was one of your main concerns

    The DR-M100 is basically the same as the DR-M10 ... with one exception .... the way the power supply and power usage is done on the '100' prevents the "loading" problems you saw in maybe 5% of the '10' units. So it's still a high quality machine, with zero mechanical errors. The closest we've come to date with a perfect DVD recorder.
